Man Utd Target Milinkovic-savic As Potential Replacement For Pogba

Manchester United are preparing for Paul Pogba's departure as they close in on a move for Sergej Milinkovic-Savic. The Lazio midfielder is believed to be fine-tuning personal terms over a £70m transfer, with his agent flying into the UK to meet with United chiefs . Reports in Italy claim they already have a deal in place - but it will only be activated if Pogba departs for Real Madrid . The fact the Red Devils have seemingly already secured their contingency plan to replace their star midfielder suggests they believe he could be on his way out. Pogba and his agent, Mino Raiola, have publicly voiced his desire to move on and take on a new challenge, with Real Madrid set to step up their pursuit. United having a ready-made replacement waiting in the wings is a boost to their hopes, whilst Juventus have also been linked with a move. Paulo Dybala is said to be willing to consider a move amid United and Tottenham interest, meaning the Serie A side could have the funds to launch a bid to bring back Pogba. Real Madrid remain the favourites, however, with Pogba's brother, Mathias, hinting he is confident he will end up at the Bernabeu by pushing for his own next club to be near the Spanish capital. United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer talked up Pogba's attitude this week and urged United fans not to vent their frustrations with the player when he comes back from their pre-season tour. But a move looks increasingly likely as they close in on Milinkovic-Savic and wait to discover just how close Real Madrid will get to their £180m price tag. Solskjaer said: “I think our fans know what Paul has given the club and what he can give us. "Of course there is a loud small minority. “Paul has been absolute top in the group. Me and the players will testify to that. "He’s never ever been a problem. We’re just grateful when he performs as well as he does.”
